What does it mean to transform a community and how or why should we do this in the UK? Our communities are rich, complex and diverse but the SDGs offer us an opportunity to translate issues across scales, geographies and contexts. Panellists will share their experience of advancing sustainable development at the local level.

Panel 2: Transforming lives

This panel will explore some of the key challenges facing UK society today, such as poverty, inequality, climate change and over-consumption of resources. Panellists will discuss how the SDGs might be used as a framework for understanding how these issues interact, and how addressing the Goals comprehensively can transform lives in the UK.
